Crysis cost $22 million to make!
Cevat Yerli, president of Crytek, has told the Games Convention Developers Conference in Leipzig that Crysis cost 15 million Euros (22 million USD) to make.
Even though that amount of money could power a third world country for a few years, the EA published game must have managed to turn round a tidy profit. And in the face of massive piracy on PC, that's no mean feat. "If it wasn't profitable I wouldn't be able to stand here," he told attendees, reports IGN.

Sega boss warns of Wii's "flood of crap
The Sega of America boss said that the wave of poor quality games on Wii will die down "as publishers become more coherent.""The Wii is a very cost effective platform to experiment with," he said. "There is a lot of crap coming out for the Wii in general."If it's not a good game, it doesn't sell. That flood of crap will die down as publishers become more coherent," he added, speaking to Venture Beat.Sega has been one of the Wii's biggest third-party success stories, albeit with the help of a Nintendo mascot; Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is expected to clear 7 million units this year.Jeffery feels that the Wii's current library doesn't satisfy hardcore gamers, but reckons that Platinum Games' super-violent MadWorld will fill some of the void."The Wii is a great opportunity for hitting hardcore gamers," he said. "No one is doing that. With MadWorld from Platinum Games, we are trying to show that millions of Wii gamers want to move on to mature games. They don't have to have an Xbox 360 to do that."

Burnout Paradise Re-Release On PSn!
The full game will be downloadable through the US PS Store for a bargain $29.99 (around £17). A UK-specific announcement is yet to be made. Also planned for this Autumn are more free "game changing" updates, including the addition of motorbikes and the introduction of Trophy support for the PS3 version. Fiona Sperry, studio manager for developer Criterion Games said: "Our mission at Criterion is to provide the most entertaining gaming service possible. In order to do that, it's key that we have the ability to deliver content to players in ways that work for them - through quick and easy download or via traditional bricks and mortar."EA has not specified a file size, but we'd imagine it'll be a fair few Gigabytes. Best free up some hard drive space, lads. Could this be the start of a new trend for PS3 titles?
